Welcome to ucare

The project Ucare KFUM has already helped 100 refugees into various occupations. With support from the European social fund we will now help even more participants in the programme. Through offering safe spaces, individually tailored support and with a focus on women’s participation, we will help more refugees from the war in Ukraine to get closer to the labour market.

Together we will make a difference

KFUM Distrikt Öst together with the House of Ukraine and with support from the European social fund started this project in its current form in 2024. This project is focused on refugees who lack occupation and are between the age 18 and 65. The project mirrors KFUM’s conviction for the need for a holistic people view; we need to address both the BODY, MIND and SPIRIT to facilitate more sustainable integration and help individuals thrive and fully participate in the society in which they live.

The project is based on integration process research as well as our previous experience; this project has been piloted with great success (40% of previous participants are now in employment or studies).

The basis of the project is that every participant registers for and participates in a eight-week course, with individually tailored content and focus, which is decided together with our experienced coaches. A new round is due to commence in February this year and then the next one in April -26. In anonymous surveys 100% of the participants stated that they would be happy to recommend the programme to others.
